Mats and Eva started the 'Cheese Magazine' website out of their shared love of cheese. They have always been fascinated by the flavours, history and production of cheese. During their many travels - especially in Italy - they visited small dairies, markets and cheese producers in regions such as Tuscany, Piedmont and Sicily. There, their interest grew even more, and the idea for the Cheese Magazine was born.
Eva is the one who captures it all on camera - taking pictures, filming and documenting their encounters with passionate cheesemakers. Together they write the texts for the website, where they share their experiences, recipes and tips. Mats, a web developer, has built and manages the website itself. Together they want to create a place for everyone who is curious about cheese - both beginners and enthusiasts.
Although Italy is close to their hearts, they also want to highlight Swedish cheese and all the fantastic producers in Sweden. Through Ostmagasinet, they want to show that cheese is so much more than something you put on your sandwich - it's culture, craftsmanship and passion.
